Mill Valley modernized mid-century is an upscale treehouse

Published Monday March 13

While such a setting might to some readers seem priceless, this Cascade Canyon beauty isn’t:…

Built in 1964, the house at 146 Hazel Ave. retains mid-century modern features, but its 2005 remodel adds a lot to the home — particularly a lot of light.

The tall ceilings, from which windows drop clear to the floor, flood the interior with natural light; these windows create a nice of outside-in effect, with forest views that enhance the home’s serene, cabin-in-the woods feeling.

This location, as remote as it seems, is actually close to the Dipsea steps, which means easy city centre access plus proximity to local hiking trails.
