Marin teenagers’ party bus driver pleads guilty

A man who drove a party bus for 33 Marin teenagers with alcohol pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges.

James Frederick Greene, 64, of San Francisco, was scheduled to go on trial this week in Marin Superior Court, but he accepted a plea deal to determine the case before jury selection.

Greene was sentenced to thirty days in jail, but he might not serve additional time in custody. He has 4 days’ credit for time served before he bailed out, and he can apply to serve the rest of the sentence in a community work program.

During his three-year probation period, is barred from transporting minors not accompanied by adults in a commercial vehicle.
